A strong and empowered youth is critical to the development of a country's economy. Since the youth population percentage in Kenya is high, they have a role in the growth and revival of the economy.

Paying taxes is one of the ways in which the youths help in the growth of the economy.  Most of the youth in Kenya are business oriented and have a motive to "Chase the bag". This helps the economy of the country since they are able to pay taxes to the government by employing themselves or being employed.

Youths also help to reduce the rate of unemployment which is a major impact on the growth of the economy. some of the youth nowadays have jobs through skills, talents, and even the urge to have money. This is helpful since they are able to pay their own bills which reduces the dependency rate. The Kenyan government also provides job opportunities to the youth in different companies such as KPA, and the Media Council of Kenya which offer paid internships and many others

Other ways in which the youth take  part in economic growth are by; making consumer choices, Youth development and entreprenuership and Creating products and offering services which is common nowadays since they are innovative.

If the youth and the government stick together and work together they will create a better tomorrow.
