The Outstanding port of Mombasa

The Kenya ports through Kenya Ports  Authority has brought a lot of opportunities and income not only for the country but also to Mombasa county at large. With its mission and vision being to be a diverse and inclusive organization at the forefront of psychological practice, science, and advocacy to improve the quality of people's lives, KPA ensures that it maintains, operates, and regulates all sea and inland waterways and ports in Kenya.
As said KPA has brought a lot of opportunities to the country such as an increase in tourism and income. Apart from this, it has brought opportunities to Mombasa residents such as;
1. Employment
The ports of Mombasa has provided a different kind of job opportunities to Mombasa residents mostly the youth which has helped in maintaining a healthy economic growth since people are able to depend on themselves.

2. Growth of infrastructure
Since a lot of activities are happening in the ports of Mombasa, Telecommunication and transport networks have been improved for efficient transportation and communication since infrastructure contributes to higher productivity and growth.

3. Enhanced trade
The ports of Kenya form a gateway for trade which helps the residents of Mombasa to sell their products to different people and even countries which creates income.

4. Improvement of living standards
Since the ports have created employment opportunities for the Mombasa residents, they are able to provide for themselves and cater to their needs which have helped to decrease the level of poverty.

The Kenya ports authority through the Trade Mark EA Mombasa port program has committed to supporting improvements at the port including the preparation of a green port policy which has helped in the prevention of air pollution and marine pollution which led to a

clean environment in Mombasa.

I believe that in a few years Mombasa will be developed due to the Opportunities it has brought and hopefully, Mombasa county will continue growing.
